White Birch Esennetial Oil
It may be a little difficult to find the "right" birch oil because there are quite a few different types of birch trees and even the same type of birch tree that have many common names.
There are two types of birch, White Birch or Silver Birch, scientifically known as Betula pendula or Betula alba, and Black Birch, Sweet Birch or Cherry Birch, the scientific name of which is Betula lenta.
Sweet Birch is almost entirely made up of methyl salicylate and is a restricted oil.
White Birch has slightly less methyl salicylate and is best suited for general use.
This can be burned or vaporized, but it is also a viscous substance and to be successful it will need to be filtered or blended.
The White Birch Essential Oil has a tarry balsamic scent.
It helps for Bacterial and fungal infections, Cramps, Fever, Rheumatism
