Citronella Essential Oil

Citronella is a perennial, aromatic grass that is mainly cultivated in Asia. Citronella Essential Oil is known the most for its ability to kill mosquitoes and other insects.

Citronella Oil is often ignored for its other beneficial uses because the aroma is so widely associated with insect repellent products.

The oil of citronella is abundant in citronellal (aldehyde) and in geraniol and citronellol (monoterpenols).

Due to many factors, including the area that has evolved, the actual composition can vary.

Citronella Oil aromatically has a citrusy, slightly fruity, fresh and sweet fragrance.

Mixes well with essential oils in the families of citrus, floral, herbaceous and wood.
