It is an essential oil that is distinctly rosy-floral and is rather strong and dominant in blends.

Geranium Essential Oil blends in the citrus, floral, wood and mint families especially well.

Emotionally, Geranium Essential Oil is a soothing and healing substance.Use too much could potentially have a calming effect for others, however, so it's an oil to use gently before you get to know it more.
