A smell similar to the freshly cut herb is expected, but Rosmarinus officinalis smells far more camphorous. Like other camphor-containing oils, Rosemary is useful in combinations for massage and arthritis, and can help improve circulation. It is helpful for respiratory difficulties, and makes a strong expectorant / decongestant.

Rosemary has an outstanding reputation for oily skin / acne, scalp and hair care and is stated to be helpful with alopecia (hair loss). Helps dandruff and hair treatment, slow circulation, muscle and cramping muscles, arthritis and rheumatism.

Rosemary is a good option for blends for long distance travel and long study sessions.
